Coles removes kitchen knives from stores nationwide after a 13-year-old stabbed a worker in Queensland.

Australian supermarket chain Coles has removed kitchen knives from its stores nationwide following a stabbing incident in Queensland where a 13-year-old boy allegedly stabbed a 63-year-old worker, Claudia Campomayor Watt, who remains in critical but stable condition. The teenager was charged with attempted murder. Coles stated that this move was taken to ensure the safety of its customers and employees and will conduct a review of its knife sales. SMEG kitchen knives from a Coles credits promotion will still be available for redemption until January 21.
