Cambodia and Indonesia sign agreement to enhance sustainable tourism at Angkor and Borobudur.

Cambodia and Indonesia signed an agreement on January 15, 2025, to cooperate on sustainable tourism management at two UNESCO world heritage sites: Cambodia's Angkor Archaeological Park and Indonesia's Borobudur Temple. The Memorandum of Understanding aims to enhance smart, sustainable, and environmentally friendly tourism practices at both sites. The Angkor complex, attracting 1.02 million tourists in 2024, will benefit from this initiative aimed at improving the management of these heritage sites.
