Richard Dalton was charged with arson after a fire he set displaced over 20 residents at Falcon Landing Apartments.

A fire at Falcon Landing Apartments in Rochester on January 6 displaced over 20 residents. The Rochester Police Department found the fire, which caused significant damage, was intentionally set by 46-year-old Richard Dalton. Initially, Dalton claimed the fire started when he fell asleep with a cigarette, but evidence suggested he deliberately started the fire. Dalton was charged with first and third-degree arson and is due back in court next month. The American Red Cross assisted the displaced residents.
