Icelandic airline Play Airlines is leaving the Canadian market, ending its four weekly flights between Hamilton, Ontario, and Reykjavik, Iceland, in late April. This exit follows the contraction of the low-cost carrier sector, with Lynx Air filing for creditor protection and WestJet merging Swoop into its operations. Play Airlines has not commented on refunds for future bookings or the reasons for its departure.
