Two companies secure key contracts for Taiwan's 500 MW Fengmiao 1 offshore wind farm, advancing green energy goals.

Two companies, DEME and Van Oord, have secured contracts for Taiwan's Fengmiao 1 offshore wind farm, which will produce 500 MW of green electricity. DEME's joint venture CDWE will install foundations and an offshore substation, valued between $155 million and $310 million, starting in Q1 2026. Van Oord will install inter-array cables, starting in 2027. The project supports Taiwan's goal to have 5.7 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2025 and 15 GW by 2035.
