SDG&E restored power to all customers after wildfire-precaution shutoffs due to record dry conditions in San Diego.

San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) restored power to all customers affected by Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) on January 12, 2025, after initiating the shutoffs as a precaution against wildfires due to extremely dry conditions. This was the driest start to the rainy season in San Diego County in 174 years. SDG&E advises customers to stay prepared for possible future shutoffs.
