Rail worker Michael Knox wins £70,000 after unjust firing over alleged workplace slur.

A 61-year-old rail worker, Michael Knox, won a £70,000 settlement after an employment tribunal found his firing by Network Rail for allegedly calling a cleaner a "Nazi food thrower" was unjust. The tribunal could not confirm the exact words spoken during the incident at the Thames Valley Signalling Centre in Didcot, leading to the unfair dismissal ruling. Knox received £8,700 for breach of contract, £15,500 as a basic award, and £52,000 in compensation.
