Sommer L. Arvin, 44, was shot by police in Estill County, Kentucky, after a traffic stop turned into a chase. Arvin crashed her car into a snow bank, ignored police commands, and pulled out a gun, leading an officer to shoot her in the shoulder. She fled into the woods but later surrendered. Arvin was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and charged with fleeing from police, operating with a suspended license, and wanton endangerment.
