Irish court overturns wind farm ban, citing procedural errors in habitat protection decision.

The High Court in Ireland has overturned a decision to deny planning permission for a wind farm in Co. Cork, originally refused to protect the whooper swan habitat. The court found An Bord Pleanála breached the Planning and Development Act 2000 by failing to notify Annagh Wind Farm Ltd about a key submission. The case will be reconsidered, involving a project with six turbines, each 175 meters tall.
