After a fire in Tandi village, Himachal Pradesh, left 140 people homeless, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu announced financial aid. Affected families will receive ₹7 lakh for house reconstruction and ₹5,000 monthly rent support for six months, extendable for another six months. Additional assistance includes ₹50,000 for cattle sheds, free electricity, and water connections. The government will spend ₹75 lakh on a village metal road and ₹1 crore on repairing a 4-km road to Tandi. A fire station will be established in Banjar, and solar power projects are planned to address electricity issues.
