A Chinese company, Wanli Tire Co. Ltd., has started building a car tire factory in Cambodia's Svay Rieng province, near the Vietnam border. The factory, set in a 32-hectare area, is expected to create 1,000 jobs. Cambodia's tire exports surged 135% in 2024, reaching $772.5 million, reflecting the country's economic growth and trade relations, especially with China under the Belt and Road Initiative.
