China launches Smart Dragon-3 rocket from sea, deploying 10 satellites for the first time.

On January 13, 2025, China successfully launched the Smart Dragon-3 rocket from the sea near Haiyang, Shandong Province, placing the CentiSpace 01 satellite group into orbit. This was China's first low-inclination orbit launch from offshore waters, aiming to improve safety and reduce costs. The rocket, developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, carried 10 satellites for space environment data and intersatellite laser networking tests.
