Godrej Properties, a top Indian real estate firm, bought a 24-acre land parcel in Indore for about Rs 200 crore to develop premium housing plots. This acquisition is part of the company's strategy to expand in tier II-III cities due to strong residential demand. The project is expected to have a saleable area of 6.20 lakh square feet and a revenue potential of Rs 500 crore. In the first half of the fiscal year, Godrej added eight land parcels with a potential saleable area of 11 million square feet and a booking value of Rs 12,650 crore. To fund these acquisitions, the company raised Rs 6,000 crore from institutional investors.
