A five-month-old gorilla named Zeytin, or Olive, was rescued from a Turkish Airlines flight's cargo hold from Nigeria to Thailand. Now recovering at Istanbul's Polonezkoy Zoo, Zeytin has gained weight and is showing signs of recovery. Wildlife officials are considering returning him to his natural habitat but emphasize ensuring a safe environment first. Gorillas are classified as endangered.
