Cynder, a German Shepherd, is diagnosed with rare perianal adenocarcinoma after initial misdiagnosis.

A four-year-old German Shepherd named Cynder showed signs of illness, including increased water consumption and unusual behavior. Initially diagnosed with an impacted anal gland, tests later revealed abnormally high calcium levels, leading to a cancer diagnosis. An ultrasound confirmed a large mass with spread to lymph nodes. The rare cancer, perianal adenocarcinoma, led the owners to seek treatment from a veterinary oncologist.
