Pakistan faces over 11 million Hepatitis C cases by 2035, with only 16% currently treated.

Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, a health advisor to Pakistan's Prime Minister, warned at a seminar that without action, Pakistan could see over 11 million Hepatitis C cases by 2035, costing $285 million annually. Currently, only 16% of cases have been treated. The government aims to screen and treat 50% of eligible people within three years, with a $670 million program.
