International rescue teams saved 18 crew members from the sinking Vietnamese freighter Dolphin 18.

On January 11, 2020, 18 crew members from the sinking Vietnamese freighter Dolphin 18 were rescued in a coordinated international effort. Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) led the operation after receiving a distress signal via the Hong Kong-registered container ship Nicolai Maersk. The crew was safely rescued as Dolphin 18 sank. The MPA worked with Vietnamese and other regional agencies, ensuring all crew members were in good health and would disembark in Malaysia.
