A head-on collision on Highway 63 West in Jasper County between a 2014 Jeep Cherokee and a Nissan resulted in both vehicles overturning, with the Jeep catching fire. The drivers, a 46-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman, were rescued by bystanders and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The Texas Department of Public Safety preliminarily concluded that the Jeep driver ignored a no passing zone, causing the crash.
