Saskatchewan Roughriders sign veteran QB Jake Maier, setting up competition with Trevor Harris.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed veteran quarterback Jake Maier to a one-year contract after acquiring him from the Calgary Stampeders. Maier, 27, played four seasons in Calgary, starting 45 games and throwing for 11,685 yards and 60 touchdowns. In 2024, he completed 357 of 494 passes for 3,841 yards and 22 touchdowns. The Roughriders will now have Maier compete for the starting position with Trevor Harris.
