In the Capital One Orange Bowl, Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard left the game in the second quarter to be evaluated for a potential concussion after taking a big hit. He was cleared to play in the second half after being asymptomatic. Backup Steve Angeli replaced Leonard during his evaluation. Offensive lineman Rocco Spindler also appeared to be injured but was cleared to return.
