Montana firms aid California wildfires, deploying planes that have dropped 114,000 gallons of retardant.
Montana companies Neptune Aviation and Bridger Aerospace are aiding in California's wildfires, estimated to cause over $50 billion in damage. Neptune has deployed three of its firefighting planes, each carrying 3,000 gallons of retardant, to Los Angeles since May, completing over 38 missions and delivering 114,000 gallons of retardant. Bridger aims to deploy more aircraft if needed, while facing personnel shortages in Montana's national forests.
