A 64-year-old man from Voltaire, North Dakota, died after being pinned between his pickup truck and a nearby structure during a towing attempt in rural McHenry County. The incident occurred on January 8 when his vehicle became stuck in a ditch. A 74-year-old man from Balfour tried to tow it out, but the 64-year-old had exited his vehicle unbeknownst to the tow driver, leading to the fatal accident. The incident is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
