Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Nigeria, has signed a N3.366 trillion ($7.1 billion) budget for 2025, known as the "Budget of Sustainability." The budget includes N1.295 trillion for overhead costs and N2.07 trillion for capital expenditures, focusing on infrastructure, economic diversification, social inclusion, human capital development, environmental sustainability, and governance reforms. The budget, passed by the state's House of Assembly, marks the largest ever by a sub-national government in Nigeria.
