Highway 70 in Marysville reopens Friday after a six-month closure following a hotel fire.

Highway 70 in Marysville, California, will fully reopen Friday evening after being closed since a June 2024 fire at the Hotel Marysville. Northbound lanes between 3rd and 6th streets will reopen, with all signals and lanes operational. However, eastbound 5th Street will stay closed from Highway 70 to D Street. The demolition of the hotel, reduced to its ground floor, has enabled the reopening, though a tribute festival is planned for January 27.
