China is building the Advanced Attosecond Laser Infrastructure (AALI) to study ultrafast particles. The project, led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will establish 10 beamlines and 22 research terminals in five years. Attosecond lasers can capture electron movements, aiding research in quantum computing, superconductivity, and magnetic storage, and may foster new high-tech industries.
