Three Irish credit unions merge to form a larger entity with over €440 million in assets.

Three Irish credit unions—Athlone, Castlerea, and St. Jarlath's—have merged to form one of the largest credit unions in Ireland, with assets over €440 million and 80,000 members. Approved by members at a virtual AGM, the merger aims to create a stronger and more efficient credit union to serve a broader area. Members' accounts and local branch operations will remain unchanged.
