Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently stated that quantum computers are still decades away from being commercially viable, causing D-Wave's stock to fall by 36%. However, D-Wave CEO Alan Baratz refutes this, asserting that D-Wave already has commercial clients like MasterCard and NTT Docomo using their quantum computers. Baratz claims that while gate-based quantum computing may take longer, D-Wave's annealing approach is commercially viable now. Despite recent market fluctuations, D-Wave's shares have grown by about 600% in the past year.
