First Nation sues over floods that made homes uninhabitable due to alleged negligence in forestry practices.

The Halalt First Nation on Vancouver Island filed a class-action lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against the government and forest companies. They accuse the defendants of negligence in forestry practices and infrastructure failures that led to significant flooding and water damage.
