The Telangana government plans to generate 1,000 MW of solar power by supporting women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to set up solar plants, offering interest-free loans and financial aid. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka instructed officials to identify land and assist SHGs and farmers, who can generate up to 2 MW under the PM-KUSUM scheme. The initiative also promotes solar plants on large urban buildings to provide affordable, clean energy.
