New AI method improves HCM diagnosis in women, closing gender gap in heart condition detection.

The new method, using AI to analyze heart scans and accounting for differences in sex and body size, increased HCM identification in women by 20 percentage points and led to fewer misdiagnoses. This approach resulted in a more balanced diagnosis rate between men and women.
