Manitoba raises auto insurance rates by 5.7% and driver's license fees by $10 annually.

Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) is raising its basic auto insurance rates by 5.7%, effective April 1, adding around $51 per year for average passenger vehicle policies. The Public Utilities Board (PUB) also approved a $10 increase in annual driver's license fees. The PUB recommended the government hire an independent expert to study traumatic brain injury management, addressing concerns from claimants.
