UK retailer Next boosts 2025 profit outlook but warns of slower growth due to rising costs.

UK retailer Next has raised its annual profit outlook for the fourth time, now predicting a pre-tax profit of £1.01 billion for the year ending January 2025, up from £1.005 billion, due to a 6% rise in full-price sales. However, Next warns of slower growth in 2025, expecting sales to grow by 3.5% and profits to increase by 3.6% to £1.05 billion, due to rising wage costs and increased taxes. The company plans to offset these costs with a 1% price hike and operational savings.
