Toyota's Woven City, a testbed for future mobility solutions near Mount Fuji, Japan, has completed its first phase of construction and is set to launch in fall 2025. The city, aiming to be a sustainable living lab for 2,000 residents, will test technologies like autonomous vehicles and smart home systems. Phase 1, earning the country's first LEED for Communities Platinum certification, will initially house 360 residents, mainly Toyota employees and partners. Toyota plans to invite the public for visits in 2026.
