Kyle Nathan Carlisle, a 39-year-old from Phenix City, Alabama, was sentenced to nearly 8 years in prison for fraudulently obtaining about $600,000 from COVID-19 relief loans.
Carlisle pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering by falsely applying for 23 Economic Injury Disaster Loans between July 2020 and April 2021.
He must also pay over half a million dollars in restitution and forfeits the same amount to the government.
