Ireland seeks public input on a major water supply project from the River Shannon to Dublin.
Uisce Éireann, Ireland's national water utility, has launched a public consultation for a major water supply project in the Eastern and Midlands regions. The project aims to pipe water from the River Shannon to a reservoir in Dublin, providing a sustainable supply for a growing population and economy. The treated water will travel 170km through Tipperary, Offaly, and Kildare, creating a "spine" for future water distribution. The consultation, which runs until March 4, will inform the design and planning application to An Bord Pleanála.
