India and Malaysia boost security and defense ties in their first-ever strategic dialogue.
India and Malaysia agreed to enhance cooperation in counter-terrorism, cyber security, defense industry, and maritime security during their first security dialogue in New Delhi. The meeting also discussed boosting collaboration in critical minerals and rare earths. The dialogue, co-chaired by India's Ajit Doval and Malaysia's Raja Dato Nushirwan, follows a visit by Malaysia's Prime Minister that elevated their ties to a strategic partnership. Annual meetings are planned to institutionalize the dialogue.
