Disabled skier Jonny Huntington becomes first to reach South Pole solo after stroke.

Jonny Huntington, a 38-year-old former GB para-athlete from Devon, has become the first disabled person to ski solo and unsupported to the South Pole. Despite suffering a stroke in 2014 that left him paralyzed on his left side, Huntington skied 566 miles (911km) in 46 days, enduring freezing temperatures and 24-hour sunlight while dragging a heavy sled. This historic feat, which required years of rehabilitation and training, marks a significant achievement for explorers with disabilities.
