The Nigerian electoral commission, INEC, has denied reports that it plans to destroy six million uncollected Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). Despite media claims suggesting otherwise, INEC stated the reports are false and advised the public to ignore them. The denial comes after a review of the 2023 elections, where 93.3% of registered voters had collected their PVCs, leaving 6.7% uncollected.
