Jodie Foster won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Limited Series for her role as police chief Liz Danvers in HBO's "True Detective: Night Country". In her acceptance speech, she thanked the show's creators, her costar, and the Indigenous people who inspired the story, as well as her family. The series centers on Danvers investigating the disappearance of eight men at a research station in Alaska.
