Indiana Governor activates National Guard to aid in severe winter storm response.
Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has activated the Indiana National Guard to assist with the severe winter storm hitting the state. The storm is expected to bring heavy snowfall and ice, with up to 9 inches of snow predicted in some areas. The National Guard's Highway Assistance Teams, consisting of 122 guardsmen stationed across seven armories, will help stranded motorists and support local responders until at least Tuesday, January 7.
