A former child donor to President Carter is now director of the Carter Presidential Library and Museum.
Meredith Evans, who as a 4-year-old sent President Jimmy Carter a dollar and a penny to help him be president, is now the director of the Carter Presidential Library and Museum in Atlanta. The museum emphasizes Carter's achievements, including the Camp David Accords, which brought peace between Israel and Egypt. Despite controversies during his presidency, Carter later established the Carter Center for humanitarian work, earning him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.
