Australian conservator to restore "The Count of Monte Cristo" in Scott's Antarctic hut.

Australian conservator Daniel Bornstein is joining New Zealand's Antarctic Heritage Trust for a month-long expedition to Antarctica. Bornstein, working at the National Museum of Australia, will return a soot-stained copy of "The Count of Monte Cristo" to Scott's Discovery Hut. The expedition aims to preserve the legacy of early Antarctic explorers like Scott and Shackleton, conserving historic huts and artifacts from the Heroic Age of Exploration.
