Astronaut Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock's Dark Skies Festival marks its 10th year, celebrating night skies in Yorkshire.

The Dark Skies Festival, launched by astronaut Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock, celebrates its 10th anniversary in February across North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales. The festival, running for 17 days, promotes the region's night skies and attracts around 4,000 to 5,000 visitors annually, boosting the local economy by about £500,000. Both parks have been designated as an International Dark Sky Reserve, one of only 22 worldwide.
