India's securitisation volumes for Q3 2024-25 are estimated at Rs 68,000 crore, driven by private banks.

India's securitisation volumes for the October-December period of fiscal year 2024-2025 are estimated at Rs 68,000 crore by credit rating agency ICRA. Private banks are driving this increase to improve their credit-to-deposit ratios, while non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) show slower growth. In the previous quarter, volumes rose 56% year-on-year to Rs 70,000 crore, with a 15% growth for the first half of the fiscal year.
