HDFC Bank reports significant deposit growth, outpacing loan increases in Q3 2024.

HDFC Bank, India's largest private lender, reported a 15.9% growth in deposits to ₹24,52,700 crore for Q3 2024, outpacing a 3% increase in loans to ₹25,42,500 crore. Retail and commercial loans showed strong growth at 10% and 11.5% respectively, while corporate loans fell by 10.3%. Time deposits surged 21.5%, indicating a preference for higher interest rates. The bank also securitized loans worth ₹21,600 crore during the quarter.
