Charges against a Saskatchewan police officer in the in-custody death of Saul Laliberte were dropped.

Charges against Saskatchewan police officer Sgt. Tyson Morash were dropped in the case of Saul Laliberte's in-custody death in November 2021. Morash faced charges of criminal negligence causing death, but a review determined there was neither a reasonable likelihood of conviction nor public interest to continue the prosecution. Laliberte was in custody after turning himself in for warrants when he was found unresponsive.
