The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado hit Spartanburg County, South Carolina, on Sunday morning, December 29. The tornado, lasting about two minutes, caused damage including uprooted trees and snapped limbs along a 1.7-mile path. Peak winds reached 75 mph. It touched down near the Middle Tyger River and moved northeast, dissipating near Holly Springs Motlow Elementary School.
