The Baltimore Orioles signed veteran pitcher Charlie Morton to a one-year, $15 million contract, aiming to bolster their rotation after losing ace Corbin Burnes. Morton, a 41-year-old two-time All-Star with a 4.19 ERA from his 2024 season with the Atlanta Braves, adds experience and stability. The Orioles also signed Japanese pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano, while catcher Rene Pinto was designated for assignment to make room for Morton on the roster.
