USPS halts mail deliveries and retail services on Jan. 9 to honor former President Jimmy Carter.

The United States Postal Service will suspend regular mail deliveries and retail services on Thursday, January 9th, to observe a National Day of Observance for the late former President Jimmy Carter. Limited package delivery service will still be available that day. Regular operations will resume on Friday, January 10th.
