John Deere recalls 39,000 ZTrak mowers due to fire risk; free repairs available.

John Deere is recalling 39,000 ZTrak Zero Turn Mowers with Kawasaki engines due to a fire risk. The voltage regulator in the engine can fail, causing overheating. This affects models Z720E, Z730M, Z740R, and Z760R sold between October 2018 and September 2024. Kawasaki has reported five fires and 26 cases of melting or smoking. Users are advised to stop using the mowers and contact John Deere dealers for a free repair.
